Massage Continuing Education State Board Regulations

Massage License Renewal Requirements

  • 24 Continuing Education hours (CE) must be completed to renew your massage license every two years

  • 16 Continuing Education (CE hours) may be completed online and 8 CE hours must be completed in a live, in-person seminar

Mandatory

  • 4 hours in either Ethics, Communication OR WA Laws must be completed, with 2 hours of the 4 in Professional Ethics, Roles and Boundaries
  • WAC 246-12-820 requires that health care professionals must complete a minimum of (2) two hours in health equity (Implicit Bias) continuing education training at least once every four years.
  • American Heart Association CPR or equivalent. 
  • Students may not complete more than 12 CE in one calendar day

  • Accepts NCBTMB approved CE courses for massage license renewal. We are an NCBTMB approved provider: #450015-06

You are required to take 8 live, on-site seminar hours. The remaining 16 hours can be met with on-line courses through Massage CE Learning Tree.
