16 Continuing Education hours (CE) must be completed to renew your massage license every 2 years
(8) CE hours can be completed online/(8) CE hours must be completed in a live/seminar
Students may not complete more than 12 continuing education hours in one calendar day
Mandatory Reporter for Child/Adult Abuse is also a mandatory requirement, but the continuing education must be provided through IA DHS. Here is the link on how to find out to obtain this requirement.
Iowa accepts NCBTMB approved CE courses for massage license renewal
133.3(2) Specific criteria. A licensee shall obtain a minimum of 16 hours of continuing education credit every two years.
A minimum of 8 hours of the 16 hours must be hands-on training.
A maximum of 8 hours of the 16 hours may be completed online.
