Florida Continuing Education Requirements

Currently, we understand Florida to require the following:

Complete 24 CE hours for license renewal by August 31 of every odd-numbered year

Florida Extends The Date On Florida Massage Licensing Renewals HERE

  • There are  7 MANDATORY courses which are required each renewal cycle for Florida 

  • At least 2 hours in Professional Ethics, 2 hours in Medical Error Prevention, 2 hours in Florida Laws and Rules and Florida Human Trafficking 1 CE (MANDATORY) 

  • 12 CE Hours must be completed in a live setting or via Florida approved webinar or video courses (valid only for the 2021-2024 renewal period). You may complete only 12 CE hours online with Massage CE Learning Tree. See specific FL Course Bundles when purchasing and read all bundle descriptions before purchasing.

  • We do not offer webinar or video courses for Florida Massage Licensing Renewal and will not be offering these courses in the future.

Please note that all courses can be used for NCBTMB (National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork) recertification, NCBTMB Approved Provider #450015-06 except those courses that are noted. Massage therapy laws change frequently and vary from state to state. Although we try to provide you with the most accurate information available, ultimately it is the responsibility of the student to contact their state licensing bureau to verify massage licensing renewal requirements and specific requirements for state courses.
