Massage Continuing Education State Board Regulations

Massage License Renewal Requirements

  • 14 Continuing Education hours (CE) must be completed to renew your massage license every two years

  • *6 Continuing Education (CE hours) may be completed online 

Mandatory

  • 3 CE hours in Ethics courses. *You must take 3 CE in “ethics” courses online to be allowed the total of 6 CE online
  • 2 CE in LGBTQ cultural competency can be completed online 
  • 10% (1.5 CE) of Public Health Priorities can be completed online with any “ethics” course or the HIV/Aids Communicable Disease course
  • 9 CE in massage related coursework; with 6 CE in massage technique courses must be completed in a live seminar

  • Accepts NCBTMB approved CE courses for massage license renewal. We are an NCBTMB approved provider: #450015-06

Directly Taken From The DC Massage Therapy Board: Continuing Education must include the following

Fourteen (14) CEs which shall include 3 hours of professional ethics, 9 hours of massage-related course work, 6 of which shall be hands-on, massage technique course(s) completed in a live classroom setting, and 2 hours of LGBTQ continuing education; 1.4 hours in Public Health Priorities.
