Pennsylvania Massage License Renewal
Upcoming Renewal January 31, 2023
Massage therapy continuing education requirements for license renewal vary from state to state and the laws are constantly changing. Currently, we understand that Pennsylvania requires 24 CE hours every 2 years for license renewal on January 31, every odd numbered year.
4 CE hours must be in ETHICS and 2 CE hours must be in child abuse recognition and reporting. A CPR Training Class is also required. During this “Covid Renewal Cycle”, you may take all of your continuing education requirements online until further notice from the Board (see additional information from the Board website below link)
- As of March 22, 2020 and updated in Dec. (see below) the Pennsylvania Department of State has suspended restrictions on the number of CE hours that can be taken through online/home study courses. You may take all of your continuing education hours online with Massage CE Learning Tree and the “Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting” separately (some classes are free) with one of the listed PA Approved CE Providers HERE.
- Free “Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting” course listed on Board website HERE
- For more information regarding PA Massage licenses: Updated Dec. 2020 Waiver HERE has been extended for next renewal cycle.
