New York Continuing Education Requirements

♥ Massage CE Learning Tree is a New York State Approved Provider

Please note that massage therapy laws change frequently and vary from state to state. Although we try to provide the most accurate information available, ultimately it is the responsibility of the student to contact their state licensing bureau to verify massage licensing renewal requirements.

Currently, we understand New York to require the following:
36 hours of continuing education every 3 years.

The following courses by Massage CE Learning Tree are accepted by New York State:

♦ Cultural Diversity and Professional Ethics, 1 CE

♦ Diabetes and Massage, 2 CE

♦ Professional Ethics, Roles and Boundaries, 2 CE

♦ Immune System and Massage Therapy, 2 CE

♦ Communicable Diseases, HIV/AIDS, 3 CE

♦ Aromatherapy for Massage Therapists, 3 CE (Meets NY Approval for Continuing Ed)

“Massage CE Learning Tree is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a continuing education Approved Provider and is also sponsored by NCBTMB to teach New York LMT’s continuing education that is accepted by the state of New York for license renewal”

Please note, the following courses are NOT accepted for continuing in New York:

  • Reiki
  • Florida Laws and Rules
  • Social Networking for Massage Practice

Aromatherapy courses may meet NY requirements (depending on content)

  • Aromatherapy (Massage CE Learning Tree meets the content accepted by NY for CE)

Live Seminar hours are reported by us to NCBTMB who then forwards hours to NYS Massage Board for credit
